A SOIR setup defined in the STCA data file should inhibit the alerts once the tracks are established on the approach courses. While still being vectored, it's probably best to set the higher aircraft to "CA" only after it is on localizer, or has reached the altitude from which it will intercept the glide, whichever happens first.

TopSky Feature Request ACTIVE lines behaviour

Basic AND/OR logic for the lines is planned, but not going to be available in the next release. The currently available options are to either use the ASRDATA line and separate ASR files for area and top-down use, or the ZOOM line to only show the top-down stuff when zoomed in.

    Topsky ASRData

The idea is that unless specifically defined otherwise, an ASR file does not limit the processing of map lines. To limit the processing, the ShowMapData and HideMapData lines can be used. Your ShowMapData should result in skipping all lines after an ASRDATA line that didn't contain "AirspaceBases" until the next ASRDATA line. For an ASR file where you do not want the texts displayed, either enter HideMapData with AirspaceBases or ShowMapData with some other definition, whichever is more convenient. For example, the maps data file could contain a number of different ASRDATA items such as: ASRDATA:ACC ASRDATA:TMA ASRDATA:TWR ASRDATA:GMC if you want to set up an ASR file to show only the GMC stuff from all the maps, it's probably easiest to use ShowMapData:GMC. On the other hand, to display everything but the GMC data, using HideMapData:GMC may be more convenient than ShowMapData:ACC,TMA,TWR which both result in the same display.
  5. Would it be possible to enable maps where you have 2 or more conditions to activate. I understand the current behaviour is the map will activate if just one line meets the condions set, but I would like to see an option where all statements must be true to allow the map to show. e.g. If I'm on LON_S_CTR and I'm covering EGLL top down, I'd like to see the Heathrow RMA (radar manouevring area) for the respective runway, so I have the following set ACTIVE:RWY:ARR:EGLL09L:DEP:* But I'd also like it to only show me it if say, Heathrow Director is offline, and therefore I'm doing the vectoring. Is it possible to get something like that to function? Thanks Luke

    Topsky ASRData

Hi Juha, I'm trying to draw some flexible use airspace in the UK using the Maps function. But the ASRData function doesn't seem to work. I'd like the map to only display the freetext on a certain ASR. Using the ASRData function, but it doesn't seem to work and appears on all ASRs. Map is defined as below: MAP:Cotswold CTA FUA COLOR:Grey STYLE:solid:1 FONTSIZE:*:.75 //15 LINE:N052.05.26.000:W002.30.50.000:N051.57.03.000:W002.16.33.000 LINE:N051.57.03.000:W002.16.33.000:N051.52.08.000:W002.23.50.000 LINE:N051.52.08.000:W002.23.50.000:N051.53.51.000:W002.30.17.000 LINE:N051.53.51.000:W002.30.17.000:N051.44.13.000:W002.35.17.000 LINE:N051.44.13.000:W002.35.17.000:N051.45.39.000:W002.48.14.000 LINE:N051.45.39.000:W002.48.14.000:N051.56.43.000:W002.47.18.000 LINE:N051.56.43.000:W002.47.18.000:N052.05.26.000:W002.30.50.000 //16 LINE:N051.53.51.000:W002.30.17.000:N051.52.08.000:W002.23.50.000 LINE:N051.52.08.000:W002.23.50.000:N051.44.13.000:W002.35.17.000 LINE:N051.44.13.000:W002.35.17.000:N051.53.51.000:W002.30.17.000 //17 LINE:N052.50.46.000:W002.45.29.000:N052.32.53.000:W002.30.11.000 LINE:N052.32.53.000:W002.30.11.000:N052.17.02.000:W002.12.51.000 LINE:N052.17.02.000:W002.12.51.000:N052.05.26.000:W002.30.50.000 LINE:N052.05.26.000:W002.30.50.000:N051.56.43.000:W002.47.18.000 LINE:N051.56.43.000:W002.47.18.000:N052.01.39.000:W002.46.52.000 LINE:N052.01.39.000:W002.46.52.000:N052.30.40.000:W002.44.21.000 LINE:N052.30.40.000:W002.44.21.000:N052.42.23.000:W002.45.00.000 LINE:N052.42.23.000:W002.45.00.000:N052.47.48.000:W002.45.19.000 LINE:N052.47.48.000:W002.45.19.000:N052.50.46.000:W002.45.29.000 //18 LINE:N052.05.26.000:W002.30.50.000:N052.17.02.000:W002.12.51.000 LINE:N052.17.02.000:W002.12.51.000:N052.06.48.000:W002.01.48.000 LINE:N052.06.48.000:W002.01.48.000:N051.57.03.000:W002.16.33.000 ASRDATA:AirspaceBases //Cotswold CTA 15 C FL125-FL195 TEXT:N051.50.35.000:W002.39.35.000:FL125C TEXT:N051.58.00.000:W002.32.00.000:FL125C //Cotswold CTA 16 C FL125-FL195 TEXT:N051.51.50.000:W002.28.00.000:FL125C //Cotswold CTA 17 C FL125-FL195 TEXT:N052.20.50.000:W002.33.45.000:FL175C //Cotswold CTA 18 C FL125-FL195 TEXT:N052.08.00.000:W002.15.00.000:FL75C ACTIVE:0101:1231:1:0000:0800 ACTIVE:0101:1231:1234:1600:0800 ACTIVE:0101:1231:5:1600:0000 ACTIVE:0101:1231:67:0000:2359 I have then added the follwoing the to the ASR where I'd like to show the freetext: PLUGIN:TopSky plugin:ShowMapData:AirspaceBases Is this the correct method to do so? Any ideas how this is handled in the real system or suggestions for a config that might handle these situations better? Or maybe an option that turns off the STCA predictions for aircraft with a cfl set to approach?

    TopSky plugin 2.2.1 beta 15

Hi, question about the STCA, how is the profile calculated when setting the CFL to approach? Is 001/002 assumed like the internal ES value? Question arises since I do have a lot of alerts when feeding independent parallel approaches (on different levels, of course) when setting the second aircraft to "CA". STCA_UseCFL is on. Oliver.

Good day! If possible, can you add in TAG option COPX/COPN altitude together (XFL/PEL)?

    TopSky plugin 2.2.1 beta 15

The NPT menu is only used to answer a direct-to request. To send a direct-to clearance without a prior request from the aircraft, open the AHDG menu, deselect the R/T option, select the Point option and click on the desired point on the radar screen.

No-one has, or if yes, by pure luck as there was an issue with the plugin reading the data in. Hopefully fixed now in beta 15 together with some other issues with automatically activating areas and maps.

    TopSky plugin 2.2.1 beta 15

Beta 15 is available (attached) Main changes from beta 14: Maps data file syntax updated (automatically activating maps no longer restricted to just the AUTO folder, however some restrictions remain as stated in the developer guide - see Maps data file ACTIVE line definition) Bug fixes related to automatically activating maps and areas What to do if a CTD happens (no need to memorize all this, just remember to come back and read this if it happens): A crash dump is the best way for me to find out what went wrong. Depending on the EuroScope version, it may or may not make an automatic crash dump in the same folder as EuroScope.exe. It'll be named "EuroScope_crash_.dmp". If the EuroScope process is still alive (it didn't crash straight to desktop without an error message), a manual dump with some more information can be made in Task Manager: in the Processes tab, right-click on the EuroScope app and choose "Create dump file". Should a 'clean' CTD happen (no error message, just straight to desktop), or if you didn't remember to make a dump in Task Manager, Windows may have made an automatic crash dump in "%APPDATALOCAL%\CrashDumps". The filename is EuroScope.exe.<number>.dmp . The small EuroScope-generated dump is usually enough to fix a bug, the slightly larger Windows-auto-generated one a bit more likely, and the one from Task Manager should cover all needs, but it's also a couple of hundred megabytes in size, so it's easiest to start with the smaller ones first as they can easily be attached to a forum message or uploaded anywhere for me to have a look. Just curios has anyone been able to implement AUTO maps with the new ACTIVE syntax by means of online controllers. I am having a lot of trouble trying to get it working. I had discussed the issue with Juha and he advised that the syntax i was using was correct but potentially could be making a mistake.

But funny enough not in my regular ES environment (witch will soon be outdated). This is with other words not a problem. Thanks Juha for your patient answers

@Oliver Gruetzmann, the setting that controls this turns out to be "Highlight ASEL AC in lists". When enabled, hovering the mouse cursor over a flight's list row no longer opens the detailed tag. Nothing I can do about that I'm afraid, so to have the autohide version of the route display function available in the lists, that setting needs to be disabled.

Yep, just tried both settings with those texts, getting no errors. What error does setting "System_State_StartUp=S/U" cause for you?

Are you sure? I am getting errors messages when doing that.

Ground Radar plugin 1.2.2 beta 7

Good, just note that as the start-up and push states have the default values there, you could just as well leave them away with the same result. As the other states had been shortened to three characters, it may be that the list setup you have in EuroScope may not contain enough space to display "START UP", but in that case just change the settings to show some shorter texts for them such as S/U and P/B.

    This settings seems to work (without errors) GroundLabel_RMK=1 System_State_OnFreq=FRQ System_State_DeIce=ICE System_State_StartUp=START UP System_State_Push=PUSH System_State_Taxi=TAX System_State_LineUp=L/U System_State_Depa=T/O
