Christian Martensen
Hello Gentlemen, Recently I was flying at FL381 in Chinese airspace, QNH set to STD. Now, on my instruments all reported FL381, but VATSIM (VATspy, VATMM, Simaware, and CTRL+Z combo) reported FL379 or something. Aircraft: PMDG 747-400 P3D v4.5 Anyone who can shed light on this matter? Regards Christian
Martin Stockzell (1294494)
Pretty good conversion chart here https://www.skybrary.aero/index.php/Metric_Altitude_Reference
Torben Andersen (861112)
Perhaps the local barometric pressure was low. The standard pressure measures the altitude above the 1013hPa isobar, while Vatspy (AFAIK) measures altitude above sealevel. regards Torben http://pcflyer.net/indicators/pilotbadges/861112.png
Christian Martensen
Martin, thanks for the effort. Seems the site is down though. Torben, that would make sense, thanks for the input :)
