The controllers in Vatsim-Scandinavia and Sweden would like to welcome all pilots for something different the coming Thursdays. We will take the focus from Stockholm-Arlanda and invite you to our regional airports throughout Sweden.
The first event in this series will feature two fairly large airports in Sweden, namely Göteborg-Landvetter (ESGG) and Luleå-Kallax (ESPA).
Landvetter is the sixth largest airport (in 2014) within the Nordic countries and SAS, Norwegian, Ryanair, KLM, British Airways are some of the operators to mention a few. Plenty of options for you to choose from. If you don’t fancy to fly an airliner why don’t take your Cessna for a spin and explore the surroundings.
Kallax airport is located just south of the Arctic Circle and serves as an air force base for the Swedish Air Force. Apart from being a military base it’s also one of the busiest regional airports in Sweden, where the main operators are Norwegian and SAS with connections daily to Arlanda and Landvetter. There is also a numerous of charter flights arriving and departing the airport year-round.
As always, please have a look on the charts and briefings available for free. We hope to see you on Thursday 22 September.
