The controllers in Vatsim-Scandinavia and Sweden would like to welcome all pilots for something different the coming Thursdays. We will take the focus from Stockholm-Arlanda and invite you to our regional airports throughout Sweden.
This time we will staff Ronneby (ESDF) and Kiruna (ESNQ).
Ronneby airport is located in the beautiful surroundings of Blekinge in southern Sweden with its archipelago. Beside the daily SAS and BRA flights to and from Arlanda and Bromma, Ronneby is the home for fighter unit F17. If you don’t go for the airliners feel free to explore Ronneby and Blekinge up close and personal from your Cessna.
Kiruna is located above the Arctic Circle and is Sweden’s northernmost airport and city where the midnight sun and northern lights attracts tourists from all over the world. Kiruna airport have flights daily down to Arlanda with SAS and Norwegian. Flying into the airfield is a bit different since the tower controller is procedural control only which gives both the controller and pilot a challenge.
