Martin Tornberg (1069087)
The controllers in Vatsim-Scandinavia and Sweden would like to welcome all pilots for something different the coming Thursdays. We will take the focus from Stockholm-Arlanda and invite you to our regional airports throughout Sweden. This time we will staff Kalmar (ESMQ) and Jönköping (ESGJ). Kalmar airport was originally build as a military base F 12 but is now a civil airport which have daily connections with Arlanda and Bromma. In addition to the domestic flights you will see charter flights operating out of here as well. And as always, if you don't fancy flying the big tin it's a great opportunity to explore the nice surroundings. Jönköping is located just on the southern part of lake Vättern and Nextjet operates daily connections to Stockholm-Arlanda. Numerous charter flights operates from here going down to Greece and Turkey to mention a few. If you want to take advantage of the local ATC, why don't you hop in your Piper and fly in the traffic pattern. Another option is to fly with your Piper northbound and land on the beautiful island of Visingsö. As always, please have a look on the charts and briefings available for free. We hope to see you on Thursday 20 October. Charts | Briefing and scenery Edited October 17, 2016 by Martin Tornberg
