Hi all,

As Martin has stepped up from his Deputy Training Assistant Sweden position to Training Assistant Sweden the seat is left vacant. The Deputy Training Assistant Sweden will serve as an assistant to Martin, helping out with the day-to-day tasks in running ATC Training in Sweden.

The Deputy Training Assistant shares the position description of the Training Assistant, but will have tasks delegated to him by the Training Assistant and those will thus include:

  • Keeping track of the general training situation in Sweden
  • Reviewing incoming training requests in TAS
  • Assigning mentors to students with pending requests
  • Reporting to the Training Director for theory test tokens and rating upgrades
  • Overseeing training and assessment reports and ensuring these meet the standards outlined in the Mentors' SOP
  • Appointing new mentors and examiners as required to meet training demands (in cooperation with TD)
  • Coordinating the development and maintenance of training related material specific to Sweden (Sweatbox scenarios, LOPs, TAS LMS content etc.)

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum rating of S3
  • Have at least 3-4 hours/week to spend on staff related duties (admin work, answering e-mails etc.)
  • Have ATC mentoring experience in the Swedish FIR

Applications or questions about the role should be sent to td@vatsim-scandinavia.org and training-sweden@vatsim-scandinavia.org no later than January 31st 22:00z.

Your application should include a brief history of your VATSIM experience, including any previous staff roles as well as a short letter explaining why you are the right person for the job. Please include any ideas and visions you have for the Swedish Training Department and compelling evidence to show how these will be met.
