filtering non plugin tag elements

I suspect the answer is not possible, but I'm curious anyway, we have a simple custom made tag element that adds a letter depending on the flight type, like a D for domestics, P for departures etc, very simple. Is there something we can add to it so that it gets filtered away along with the rest of the topsky elements when applying CJI SSR or altitude filters? We have full access to the plugin source code that generates this element.

No, it's not possible. The filter states are not available to other plugins. The best you can do is to create separate filters to your plugin and then try to keep them synchronized with the TopSky filters. Might be doable if you only need to adjust the filters very rarely...
