Ricardo Sousa (1110850)
Looking for a way to exempt certain traffic from TSAs, essentially clearing them into the areas. Was thinking something along the lines of a new option in the areas definition like EXEMPT: where the rules for what to exempt would be in a similar format to what the ACTIVE lines are. Useful rules would be for SSR ranges, callsign matches, field 18, and the RWY: rules. For example, this notam that is right under the departure and arrival path of LPPT will be nagging us for the next six months, here the RWY rules would be great. Juha Holopainen
For an area like that - "no flights allowed except almost everyone" - defining the area as NOAPW and NOSAP is surely the best solution, it still keeps the area visible for the odd flight that actually needs to avoid it. For areas which all or a clear majority of flights need to avoid, an alert is more useful. In that case to clear a specific flight into or through an area, set it to TSA Hold until out of the area (or just disregard the APW/SAP alerts, whichever works best).
