I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays and charged up their batteries for 2021. 2020 has been the year that we've mainly had focus on Control Center (aka Project SANTA earlier) and as we speak we're now wrapping up the last updates to pull CC out of beta and brand it v.1.0. So if you've any bugs or quirks that you've not yet reported this is the time :D

Other than CC, we've released our new website as a part of our forum, new booking system created by Dave Roverts and moved all our services to our new server that's more suited for future expansions. As most of you might have noticed, we also integrated with the new VATSIM Discord bot for verification on our Discord server. We've also updated Handover (central login system) to support the new VATSIM login, though that's maybe not that cool for you others as for us geeks 🤓 Most of our work in the last year has been to get all systems up to modern standards by remaking most of things from scratch, and it's when this is done we can start developing new features and services.

In 2021 will of course continue the development of Control Center to it's next version(s). We'll start looking into new features that have been in our backlog for a while, such as more precise estimates for queue lengths, better flow for rating upgrades, Moodle integration and perhaps some integration with ATSimtest if made possible by VATEUD. We're also working on a new Scandinavian Discord bot, which will help us automatically verify VATSCA members, but also post events and event reminders so you won't miss a single one! :D There will probably be more upcoming projects in 2021 we haven't though of yet, perhaps you suggest the next big thing in our suggestions forum?

I'd also like to thank everyone in the web team for their work, input and help in 2020, we've come quite far during the last year and I'm excited to see what more we'll do this upcoming one! Thanks to everyone who also gives us feedback on how we can improve our services, much appreciated!

Feel free to ask questions if you've any, and enjoy the winter! ❄
