Feature request GR Plugin: Prioritize stand assignment based on arrrwy

We have experienced that some controllers ignore the stand assignment by the ground plugin at ENGM as it often assigns a stand on the other side of the airport. Would it be possible to add runway specific prioritization on the stand assignment so you can make it assign a stand on the closer/better side of the airport?

The controllers are of course free to choose to ignore the assignments, it shouldn't cause any trouble for others other than a possible temporary shortage of stands while the flight is blocking both it's assigned stand and the stand it actually taxied into from assignment to other flights. When doing that, it would of course be both good practice and polite to others to manually change the assignment accordingly so that everyone knows what the plan is.

From a training point of view, why is it even seen as necessary to change the assignments without pilot request unless they are somehow wrong? Maybe it's thought as a good service to pilots, but it's just simulated kerosene - the pilots might actually benefit from having to practice navigating around the airport, not just in the air, and the controllers would also get more used to handling ground traffic.

We don't use the ground radar plugin but we do it the other way around.

We assign our runways based on the gate. Perhaps something you can do too?

Yes that is how it works at ENGM, but the approach/enroute controllers do not have the assigned stand available without switching to the ground plugin. So on VATSIM the runway assignment is based on their flight type (GA/Passenger/Mil/Cargo) and their departure airport (Domestic/International). However during busy periods, we are allowed (and supposed) to balance the traffic between both runways (IRL you would balance according ot the table below) and there are combi (domestic/schengen) stands available on both sides of the airport, it does then not make sense to taxi them to a stand very far away when you have the closer ones available.

Oh right. Our system selects a stand to any of our arrivals within a +-150nm range and these stands are pushed to our website and to the controllers in the (en-route) and vSMR tags/lists.

If you add the Ground Radar plugin / Arrival stand item to the sector exit list does it solve the problem?
