Could you please consider the possibility of an option to read these files, or even all plugin .txt files, from a url, somewhat similar to what notams and metars and all that are doing. Something like having the local file content being "URL:https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pinatacolada/topskylppc/master/LPPC/Plugins/topsky/TopSkyAreasManualAct.txt", and then reading and loading from there.

Right now what we do is have a package on gng with areas, manualAct, and groundradarpluginmaps that is updated daily, but this has obvious shortcomings. There is also an interest to have a europe wide segregated areas and schedule all synchronized. This feels like a pretty easy stepping stone solution while a more dynamic one isn't cooked up.

Looks interesting! It's not released yet?

It's released, but currently it's done by hand by Mathisse. I think it's missing a windows server to host it.

So I could use this to activate Swedish areas as per the AUP? How do I do that?

You download this https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MatisseBE/vLARA/main/Datafiles/Sweden.txt and load it in TopSky.

My suggestion was to have the ManualAct file be only something like url:https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MatisseBE/vLARA/main/Datafiles/Sweden.txt and TopSky would download it by itself, which essentially automates the whole TSA process for everyone

I see, thanks!

I was a bit confused as the Swedish file didn't contain any areas that I recognised. Turns out they are some temporary D areas and those are indeed the only areas included in the AUP/UUP, which unfortunately doesn't make it very useful to us. (I guess it's because our air force tends to use PCA sectors that are not published in civil publications. TSA/TRA are rarely used it seems.)
