[TRAINING DEPT] Implementation of S1 Training Program

In VATSIM Scandinavia our training queue has been notoriously long with wait times extending even to a year.
Now we've come behind with a solution that will benefit our training department and especially all our controllers who wish to start a virtual career in air traffic control.

We will be implementing the S1 Training program.

This training program is designed to offer the students a shorter route in controlling thus giving the opportunity to start the continuous learning path of an ATCO sooner.
A fresh S1 after passing the training would be able to log on to VATSIM and control traffic with some limitations to airfields and/or positions. After completing certain requirements as an S1 controller he/she is very much encouraged to then apply for S2 training program.

Participating FIR's will publish details about their implementation in their respective FIR's forums.

 

WEF 01.01.2023 or earlier if stated by FIR local training department.
