Pilot Training

VATSIM Scandinavia has been approved by the VATSIM Pilot Training Department (PTD) as an Authorized Training Organization (ATO) for the P1 (PPL) rating. Once everything is running smoothly we intend to also provide training for higher ratings. Training will be conducted in English all across VATSIM Scandinavia airspace, subject to instructor availability and PTD approval. All members of VATSIM Scandinavia can apply for and receive training in our ATO.

@Jere Heiskanen (1440666) is the Pilot Training Manager in charge of the whole department assisted by Chief Flight Instructor @Arttu Uusi-Kyyny (1358735) and Deputy Chief Flight Instructor @Vincent Matsuuke (1193177)

We have a few flight instructors in training already but if you are very experienced online (or IRL) and wish to help with training contact the pilot training team. IRL pilots can transfer their certificates to VATSIM. Please note that to be a qualified flight instructor on VATSIM you need to hold, at least, the P1 (PPL) and P5 (FI) ratings. The P5 (FI) rating will be granted after successfully passing flight instructor training.
