Good Morning!

We are happy to announce that VATSIM Scandinavia Pilot Training Department has been opened to its members.

Theoretical studies can be completed independently or through classroom sessions. The theory exam must be passed successfully before flight sessions. Upon passing the theory exam, it is possible to proceed to the flight training section, where you will engage in approximately 15 hours of DUAL sessions with an instructor. Following this, the student pilot can continue studying independently. Once the required hours are completed, the student can request a flight test via 'Training Request' on Moodle. After successfully completing the flight test, we will endorse the P1 recommendation and the training will be completed.

Flight instructors without previous teaching experience require a minimum of P1 and 200 VATSIM hours.

The theoretical part of FI course is provided by VATSIM PTD. Please note that starting from January 1st, 2024, all instructors must hold a P5 rating to work as an instructor under an approved flight training organization. If you already possess a P1, P2, P3, or P4 rating with 200 hours or a P5 rating and are interested in joining our team, please get in touch with us.
