It's already half year ago since last update from the Web Department, I thought to update you once again on what we're working on. This part of the year is a bit more hard to have continuous progression due to multiple staff having exams and now vacations, however we're on track and done a lot!

Since January we've not only released Control Center (CC) v.1.0 and pulled it out of beta, but we're already at v.2.5! The v.2.0 released marked mostly back-end changes and our Open Source Release of CC. We know that VATMENA has already started using it, and perhaps other - though we don't have any overview of this. The purpose of releasing CC as open source was to avoid other VACC's re-inventing the wheel because most divisions need this kind of service, and of course that everyone who uses it are also welcome to contribute into making CC a even better platform. The to-do list of CC is now quite short and mostly optimization updates left, this also mean we can focus on other areas a bit more.

We've also since last update released our VATSIM Scandinavia Bot which verifies our VATSCA-members and assigns this new role. The bot also announces events and mentions when the events are about to start. We're quite happy with the functionality created here, and we'll continue on improving the functionality and ironing out bugs with events and enabling staffing-threads for more FIRs.

We're also looking into creating a Wiki (for ATCs to start with) to replace PDF documents and getting the advantages of changelog, search across documents. The service is set up, but we're in need of more people to help us contribute in terms of moving a few test documents to the Wiki so we can use it in real cases and see how it works out. If you want to contribute, please let us know here as we really need some help to pull this through. We'd also like to underscore it's just a test, to check the functionality and if it gives us value that'll be useful for one or multiple FIRs.

The good news is that we no longer have any legacy, old, outdated, duct-taped services left. The work done to renew both our infrastructure and services is marked as completed and it "only" took us 1.5 years :D

Thanks to everyone who also gives us feedback on how we can improve our services, much appreciated! I'd also like to thank the whole Web Department for the work so far! @Gustav Kauman @David Mortensen @Markus Nielsen

If you've any other questions, feel free to ask on Discord :)
Enjoy the summer!
