Peter Persson

Hi everyone!

A presentation would probably be appreciated, so here i go!

My name is Peter Persson, i have been speaking to Magnus Gustafsson and Mathias Johnsen a while now due to my interest with flying and VATSIM.
I currently work as a Network Engineer at a Scandinavian internet service provider, based in Malmö, Sweden.
Due to my excess of computing performance in my servercluster, i decided to offer my services for free both to VATSIM EU-N server and for VACCSCA homepage and teamspeakserver.

Some technical porn, for those who are interested.
My server farm currently have 10 Gigabit uplink to internet (with 4 different geographical located fibers going to the datacenter) and 5 servers with each more than 100GB of memory and 2x6core (+ hyperthreading) processors. Each server have redundant powersupplys connected to redundant UPS:es behind that there is a dieselpowered generator on 1000horsepowers delivering power for more than 24 hours.

I have a big interest in flying overall, but haven't been able to fly alot on VATSIM, due to limited time i can fly due to my workload on Bredband2.
I will be having more vacation from my work, so i can both fly more and dedicate time for this community.

After this post i will tell everyone thank you for believing in me and i will do my best to make everyone happy!

If anyone wonders anything, please get in touch with me and i will answer everything i can!

Regards,

Peter

An update to this, due to last time high Denial of Service attacks.

The uplink to the servers have been upgraded to 20 Gigabit, and 10 Gigabit to each server, to handle all this traffic.
Hopefully, its not needed for any upgrades further on :)

/Peter
