It was a challenge for Juha-Matti to set and monitor the correct spacings between the aircraft (especially since a back-track was necessary at Vaasa), but his instructions were clear and professional. Had to do a go-around because the aircraft landing ahead of me hadn't vacated in time but the approach controllers handled it beautifully and were very polite and professional. Even when my aircraft didn't have ILS working on my second attempt, I quickly recieved a visual approach clearance. Another excellent job by VATSIM Scandinavia! Martin Loxbo (811805) Posted November 25, 2023 Report Share Posted November 25, 2023 Some feedback from FSCB after their recent flights in Scandinavia: Quote The FSCB-Flightgroup is flying through Europe for already more than 20 years and Scandinavia has always been one of our favorite regions: not only because of the beautiful sceneries and challenging airports, but especially for the outstanding ATC provided by Vatsim Scandinavia. Tonight (Friday November 10) our group had 12 aircraft as we flew from Mariehamm to Arvidsjaur and on behalf of the pilots of our group I want to give BIG COMPLIMENTS to our controllers for the great ATC that we had all the way! It was a bit crowded at Mariehamm, but Tapio (EFMA_R_TWR) remained calm and patient: he handled our departures with clear and good to understand instructions, so we had a good departure. Christian and Marcus guided us professionally through Finnish and Swedish airspace to our arrival airport Arvidsjaur with Max as ESNX_TWR. We take this opportunity to give a special compliment to Max for the way how he managed to stay in control while he was handling of the sequence of 4 aircraft close to the airport when suddenly a 5th aircraft appeared from another direction and at the same time one of the aircraft in the sequence missed a turn. But Max did a great job and we all landed smoothly without having to make holdings or other large deviations. So we had a great flight and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We really enjoyed our flight as we had again great ATC, starting with Dragoljub as ESNX_TWR, followed by Hakan as ESOS_1_CTR. Our approach to Alesund was handled by Lasse (ENAL_APP) and Nicolas as ENAL_TWR. The instructions given by these controllers were very professional and we also appreciated that the controllers were very friendly (and patient). Simply stated: Job well done!!
